OPENING DAY 2007

The new season began on Saturday 7th April following the opening of the green by Mrs Jane Baxter, Vice President Ian Mochrie presented her with a silver salver to mark the occasion.
A nice sunny day then saw 6 rinks and a Triple, which included 11 guests from neighbouring clubs, contest the annual open day event.
President Cliff Kinloch's team beat VP Mochrie by 83 shots to 69.
The winning rink was the triple of Robert Hannah (Railway) Robert Anderson and Sam Beck.

On the following Monday afternoon it was the turn of the Veterans who were not so lucky with the weather as the day started with a short shower of rain.
The green was opened by Alec Morrison after which five rinks, which included 7 guests, were drawn at random and played a game of 10 ends.
The winning rink was Hugh Edmond (Allandale), Ian Jamieson, Bert Nisbet and Mike Robinson.
